New Month, New Motivation- July

Happy July 4th weekend!

Join me after the holiday for Wellness Wednesday! (By then we will really be ready for it!)

This time of year, we are all eating out more and cooking at home far less than usual which often means lots of indulgences.

I have been starting my days with hot water and lemon. Although this does not undo what I ate the night before, it does make me feel better in the morning.

A healthy lifestyle is all about finding what works for you. For me, starting my morning with hot water with lemon followed by green tea helps me reset each day. The benefits I feel are a boost in energy and often staying hydrated makes me less hungry.

My intention for this blog is to inspire wellness and share My Year of Healthy, a personal journey to see which trends work for me.

The first day of the month is a motivational time to check in with yourself.

My philosophy, Fill Up On Healthy, is all about adding in healthy foods and drinking at least 8 glasses of water daily.

Instead of making restrictive rules that cause stress and dread, just add in more healthy foods and habits and enjoy your indulgences with less room for them.

When you are full, try and stop eating. This is what I refer to as, eating like the skinny people. That is what they do. They have a few bits when they indulge and savor the moment then stop when full.

Intuitive eating works best for healthy people.

When you eat processed foods and too much sugar, you crave them.

Unhealthy foods impact the way your hormones in your body actually work. Some help you feel full and others make you hungry.

According to Healthline.com, you can increase, Leptin, the hormone that helps you feel full. "Increasing physical activity, getting enough sleep, decreasing sugar intake and including more fish in your diet are some steps you can take to improve leptin sensitivity. Lowering your blood triglycerides is important, too."

For those currently eating an unhealthy diet with mostly unhealthy habits, you can make changes now and feel better soon.

You can become healthy, you just need to make the decision to Love Yourself Healthy.

( Love Yourself Healthy, the name of my signature program I hope to launch this Fall. Support for those that want help adding in more healthy foods and habits.)

As always, Fill Up ON Healthy,
